Made from fresh Scottish double cream and whole milk, S. Luca Dairy Ice Cream is renowned for its smooth, creamy texture and sophisticated taste.
S Luca is based in Musselburgh, East Lothian. It all began in the 1890s, when Luca Scappaticcio set out from his home in Cassino, Italy destined for a life in Scotland. His passion for cooking secured him a position in the kitchens of one of Scotland’s more prominent hotels. It was here that he learned the art of creating luxury ice cream. By combining this with the knowledge of flavour and texture that he brought with him from Italy, he was able to create a truly unique ice cream. Whilst production and storage techniques have changed, our ice cream recipe has largely remained unchanged. In addition, our ice cream is still produced in the same factory as it was in Luca Scappaticcio's day.
Ingredients
VANILLA - MILK (73%), sugar, skimmed MILK powder, butter (5%) (MILK), double cream (4%), (MILK), stabilisers E407, E410, E412, emulsifier E471, vanilla bean.
STRAWBERRY - MILK (73%), sugar, skimmed MILK powder, butter (5%) (MILK), double cream (4%), (MILK), stabilisers E407, E410, E412, emulsifier E471, strawberries (3%), natural colour beetroot red.
MINT CHOC CHIP - MILK (73%), sugar, skimmed MILK powder, butter (5%) (MILK), double cream (4%), (MILK), glucose-fructose syrup, stabilisers E407, E410, E412, emulsifier E471, natural mint flavouring, colours E150B, E133, stabiliser E440. Chocolate chips (6%) - sugar, cocoa mass, cocoa butter, emulsifier: SOYA lecithin, natural vanilla flavouring.
SCOTTISH TABLET - MILK (73%), sugar, skimmed MILK powder, butter (5%) (MILK), double cream (4%), (MILK), flavouring (5%): [glucose syrup, concentrated sugared MILK, flavours, acidifer: citric acid, salt. Certified colours: E150B, E160A] stabilisers E407, E410, E412, emulsifier E471. Tablet pieces (5%) - sugar, condensed MILK, water, salted butter (MILK), skimmed MILK powder.
