WHY EAST LOTHIAN?

FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

East Lothian’s magnificent coastline make it a popular destination for holidays and short breaks. With golf courses, award winning visitor attractions and vibrant towns and villages to explore there is something for everyone.
From North Berwick harbour you can take a boat trip to the Bass Rock, a gannet sanctuary, seeing the puffins and seals on the way. Dunbar boasts about being the sunniest place in Scotland and you can see fishing boats landing their catches and for the days when the sun isn't shining, swim in the indoor wave swimming pool. The beaches are fantastic with miles of golden sand and plenty of opportunities for water sports

Edinburgh is just 20 miles away and within easy reach by road or rail. Drem train station is only 2 miles from the farm and the train takes you straight into the City centre. The world’s leading festival City, Edinburgh boasts a dynamic array of festivals throughout the year including the world famous Fringe Festival which runs during August. There are also many galleries, museums, exhibitions and concerts and historic buildings to explore. A compact and accessible city, Edinburgh is a truly fantastic day out.

The 5th generation of Brands, young Ritchie and Robert are often the ones that get to choose our days out now, so they have helped to pull together a list of our favourite things to do and places to visit here in East Lothian!

What People Are Saying

" We arrived to the warmest of welcomes from Jane Brand, the family owner in this beautiful location. We soon settled in and enjoyed stunning walks both through the East Lothian countryside and of course the beautiful beaches, only a few minutes’ drive from the site. The villages of Aberlady and Gullane are within 5 miles, the perfect centres for golf, along with the bustling town of North Berwick close by "
